Opinions on HKS Legamax Sport

Looking at this exhaust. What do you guys think? Sound, quality, design. Haven't really seen many reviews on here.

I can't get over that extra unnecessary loop that the exhaust has to take. I mean I get that they probably "tuned" it that way for a specific sound signature, but it just seems counterintuitive to a nice clean high velocity exhaust flow.

I'm not sure if that is detrimental to the exhaust flow though since the loop is at the very end of the exhaust. hypothetically, if the loop is around where the mid pipe is, then yes right?

It's on my list, as is the boxer spec header. The weird bend is going to flow more than a tight radius 90 that most others have...

Now if only HKS USA would get off their ass and release the header here so I don't have to pay out the nose for it to be imported... They said it was going to be released over a year ago.

It's a catback, so you're not really going to see any increase in power or losses anyways. It's so far downstream of the actual bottleneck in the system that they could probably add another foot of pipe back there, and you probably wouldn't see any measurable difference in power.

The midpipe is straighter than stock, and the bends are less abrupt, so if you were worried about exhaust velocity, it's still probably less turbulent than stock. Again, it's after both cats, and it would appear that they're using straight-through mufflers. You buy catbacks for the sound. Unless if they do something wonky, like add another catalytic converter back there, there's not much restriction anyways. There's not much restriction in the factory catback, either. People don't dyno differently with track pipes, and that's on the other extreme end of the spectrum. You're more likely to note a change in weight.

It's HKS, so the fit and finish are likely excellent. I like that the exhaust tips are on the smaller end of the spectrum. It's less ostentatious than their other Legamax exhaust with 5 inch tips. It also doesn't seem to hang very low, which is nice. If you like the sound, get it.

i have officially decided to get it as well as the HKS Front Pipe.

i kept doing research and the only sound that i liked 100% is the Legamax Sport

there's a shop here that can get it for me from Japan and i don't have to pay shipping or duties or exchange rate which is awesome.
