dyno numbers based on break in procedure.

I would be interested in seeing if there are differences in hp and tq numbers, along with how they were driven the first thousand or so miles.
So if anyone has dyno'd their cars and have sufficient miles, or even anyone who has dyno'd their cars with their break in procedure, it would be interesting to see some real world results instead of everyone giving their take without proof.

I would like to see this but it would be quite hard. Different dynos put out different numbers, as well as the temperature, humidity, etc. have to factor in the day the dyno for each car was done.

We drove our FR-S hard, several dyno sessions, and 16 or so drag passes with less than 500 on the odo, plus lots of drifting, doughnuts, burn outs, drag launch practice...ect.

We have the before (250 or so miles in 5th) and after (2500 or so miles in 5th) dyno's:

I broke mine in very hard over 2 days,

first 400 miles: Pikes Peak climb, and the rest was a mountain route from colorado springs to grand junction,

next day 900 miles from Grand Junction to LA mostly highway High load as often as possible every 1/2 hr to hr we would pull off stretch and then get in and hammer it, testing butt dyno VS altitude changes.

as soon as I got back to LA we threw it on the dyno, it made 162WHP Several Companies have brought their FRs's down for pre development baselines and my BRz made ~2hp better than the best baseline currently stored in our database...

my numbers on our dynojet (48") were 162/135

The only issue I have with your dyno is that it's not in SAE format. Your numbers will prob drop about 5whp.

I'll contribute to this soon, i believe in the hard driving break in. This method by no means says redline the car at every turn and dump the clutch at every light but do load the engine and rev up through the gears and allow to decelerate on its own. I changed the oil at around 150 miles and will dyno soon. I've treated both of my most recents cars like this and i've had nothing but great engines(e92 m3, e90 328i).

Well i just did my pre break-in dyno and by that i mean prior to the 1000-3000mls after which the engine should be all settled and putting forth max whp. The break in procedure was hard accel through the gears, not red lining every gear, no hard launches or brutal drifts hitting rev limiter but putting lots of load on each gear from 1-5th and allowing the gears to decelerate on its own. The car has not about 250 miles and the dyno was SAE corrected. I was really hoping for 170 lol but lets see after 3k miles. The car is running pig rich after 4k or so.

Results for the after break in dyno.. i was pretty happy it wasn't much but i did gain 6whp and 5 wtq. The secret, put load on the car, try not to redline but do push the rpm's to their upper range and allow for deceleration in gears, this creates vacuum. Drive the car as if it was already "broken in".

^^Gain here is only contributed to the leaner(better) afr ratio. Are these cars tuned that rich from factory?Doesn't make since, car would make better power and get better mileage if tuned better.
