Lower car 1.5 - 2.0 inches
I dont want to just install lowering springs and blow my stock shocks and struts. But I don't want to spend 2500$ on a suspension kit.
I need a recommendation for getting that no gap between the wheel and fender without ruining the ride look and feel The car won't be used for autocross or any crazy shhh thatll burn a hole in my pocket. I'll eventually get 18's in the front and staggered 19's in the back. Something along the lines of kyb agx with eibach springs. But neither company offers those products for that car |

Why have 18" in front n 19" at back?? U will just raise the rear end up plus u will lose a lot of power for going to 19".
Also if you plan to lower your car by that much, you will need a pretty stiff coilover to prevent tires hitting the quarter panel or fender.

In my most humble opinion this doesn't sound like a good idea.
18's in the front with 19's in the back....and you wanna lower 2 inches on the cheap without ruining the ride, look, and feel? That setup is destined to ride, look, and feel like a JDM turd. It sounds like you're going for a show car since you're obviously not going for performance so I guess you just have to decide how important driveability is. BTW: Just saw you're from Florida? did you have to pay a markup on your FRS? Just curious with all the terribly marked up prices some members posted on the forum here

Basically with that setup you're going to compromise some of your ride and handling for looks. Tein already has the S-techs coming out, which might give you what you want. "Ride Height Drop Ft:-35mm/Rr:-30mm" (1.38 in F, 1.18 in R). I would pair them with shocks though. Many people say that if you drive them on stock shocks, that the shocks will blow prematurely. But if you're going to stagger your setup in that way, I would get coilovers.

Sounds like I can't go budget with what I want. Still want that staggered look in the back. I'll have to mess with the offset so I can have the wheel flush with fender and nice lip on the rear wheel. Well about the markup. My wife is good friends with the sales director's wife. He wiped the 4995$ markup right off. I actually pointed at the amv sticker and said to the guy. "what the f is this?" for that I'll go get a wrx sti. He's like don't worry haha. |

I always thought staggered meant bigger width on the rear tires (17x8 f with 17x9 r).
I think the car will look better with just a slight drop. I plan on getting the h.tech springs or some eibachs whenever they are released. The s.techs blew my stock struts in my 97 240sx pretty quick. Ended up getting some gr2's about a year and a half after installing them. |

Well from his other posts it looks like that's not what he wants anymore after finding out what it would do to the ride...
