A little improvisation on 2015 exhaust tips.
Friend got aftermarket exhaust on 2015 FRS, i traded him my 2014 stock exhaust tip so he can still sell the stock as a whole. Did some metal surface work, polished it up and repositioned it. looks super nice!
After cleaning all the dirt and residue off, I used some 1500g sand paper to sand down the mat-metal finish on the inside and used metal compound and polish to shine it up. For the outside and ring of the tip i just used some compound and polish to buff everything up. And finally i re-positioned the tip about 1" to 1.5" out from its original location. To make sure the tips are secured, i drilled a small hole on the muffler pipe to allow the bolt holding the tips through. (you can also just tighten real good without drilling the hole, i seriously doubt it'll fall off. just don't over do it or you'll snap the head of the bolt right off.)

Look good now. After a few weeks of driving they'll be black again.
Here's mine when they were new: I use Brasso metal polish on them every few months to make them look like this again. |

good job on the polishing, but that seems like a lot of work for just stock exhaust tips. lol
