25k Miles

I bought my 2013 frs used at around 23500 miles and now it is sitting at 25000 miles as of today. What maintence should I be doing on it? Even though the dealership says it will be good until 27000 miles, I am going to do an oil change on her soon. I am planning on using Royal Purple or Mobil1. Is there anything else I should be worried about or check besides oil change? Since this will be my first oil change are there any tips or tricks or is it standard?

Also recently with the rainy weather hitting, the windows are becoming more squeakier and my shifting is a lot more stiff.

As I was reading some posts, many said that K&N filters cause problems... Should I stick to OEM or are there any other reputable brands?

Did the car come with a list of things already done to it maintenance wise?

My wipers started squeaking when the rain hit last week also. Wiped the blades using car soap + water while washing the car and no more squeak.

Someone else can chime in on the shifting part.

Read your manual. It lists everything you need to replace at certain mile intervals

As for k&n filters, it's up to you. I used them before just don't over oil them. I really perfer the dry filters since it less maintenance and don't need to buy oils.

My only beef on Royal Pupple is you can't find it anywhere. If your low on oil in some place far from home, good luck. Mobile 1 I can get at pretty much any where

for maintnance.

Call dealer and ask for maint records. They must have em unless they mom n pop shop. Manual says 7k for oil. I'd do it tops at 5k for dd conditions. Wipers will squeak due to dryness. Put some car wax on em after you wash em and clean with alcohol. Then get some rain X sprayed. Helps a tad.

Btw gtf away from KnM. Use OEM or even the Royal Purple. KnM melt and are cr@p imoe for this engine.

No, no it doesn't. The 2013 manual does not specify at what interval you should be changing what.
