Installed my OFH but got codes!

I just got a P0171, P2097 and a P219A code. And I have searched it up. It says I'm running to lean, but I can smell gas. Like I've been driving a gokart. ps: running catless headers and catless FP w/ stg2 uel oct91. So I think that's the gas smell.
I tried clearing the code with the OFT, but it came back after a while.
I wouldn't know how to check for leaks, or check if my MAF is dirty, check my o2 sensors or how to fix such things.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What octane were you using? Did you check if your MAF is all connected properly? What about the two O2 sensors if they are on correct and not loose?

If you did the job yourself trace back the steps and make sure everything is torqued properly and any connections are put back properly.

If you took it to a shop to install then take it back and have them fix it.

I took it to a shop. I'll have to go back and get and looked at tomorrow. I'm also getting p0137 code now. (Rear O2 sensor low voltage).

Sorry wparsons. I posted it here as well to get a general help since the Canada section wasn't get attention. But I can delete the thread if it's bothersome.

I would make sure the shop plugged in your 02 sensors correctly. Standing at the front of your car outside looking at your engine bay, the 02 sensor closest to you should be the one with the gray clip, plugged in to the gray clip. The further one should be black, and plugged into the black clip. Make sure they're plugged in all the way.

That sounds like you have a exhaust leak or issues with 02sensors

make sure both 02 sensors are plugged in
make sure black plug to black socket and grey plug to grey socket
make sure their is no O2 spacers installed especially in the front 02 sensor
grey plug is front and primary 02 sensor
generally you will need to run an M18 by 1.5 thread chaser through o2 bungs to clean thm up so o2 snsors screw in all the way to the washer without using excessive force they should screw in by hand.

its unlikey it anything to o with maf unless you have touched that area.

If you have an air leak near o2 sensors the sensors see fresh air, so the ecu thinks engine is running lean hence lean error codes, as a result the ecu adds a crap load of fuel so you smell fuel

I did not check yet if my O2 sensors if they're in their rightful place. I also do not have any O2 spacers.
The shop had to use some force to put in the O2 sensors in one of the bungs to be able to fit it in.
No one has touched the MAF area. So I don't think that is the problem. Right now, to me it's either an exhaust leak or o2 sensor.

I do smell a lot of the gas inside the cabin. As well as my fuel consumption has gone up, and I'm not even pressing the gas all the way. I just filled up last night and I'm halfway through my tank. I drove literally almost worth 45 minutes back and forth in total.

Sounds like the shop probably stripped threads on 02 sensor or its not seated al the way in bung. You should not have to force sensors they should screw in by hand all the way then just torque them down at end they are easily damaged.

think thats likely the problem problem. leak at o2 sensor or damaged o2 sensor. best to run thread tap/chaser through header bungs to clean them up

How will I be able to fix this problem?
And also, how will I be able to know that's where the actual leak is?

you can log ltft and afr and commanded afr with oft
if the ltft is high like over 10% at low rpm usually indicates leak or o2 sensor issue

you can spray some soapy water arround sensors when engine cold and then start car look for bubbles.

it may be a damaged sensor but they are not cheap so best to confirm its stuffed first which can be difficult

the ring\washer on the o2 sensor should not be loose and sensor should be screwed in all the way.

I have logged it w/ OFT. The AFR was usually 14:1 and goes up to 20:1 a few times. Ltft from the last I saw it was higher than 10%.
I'll rather replace the sensors and gaskets to make sure everything is new and won't cause any problems later on.

I would take it to shop first before buying parts on spec, let the shop take a look first it may be loose plug,leak or blown fuse.

you said in another thread you now have a low voltage code

afr will read 20 when your off throttle on overrun thats normal.
