Chirping.
So I heard a lot about the crickets that the BRZ gets. It started happening to me a couple days ago. How can I get rid of them?

There is absolutely nothing that you can do. Crickets are there to stay. It's part of our DNA. Live long and prosper.

Some have said Chevron gas seems to produce less crickety goodness but who knows. I'd vote for the LS swap

I use Costco gas and have never experienced chirps in the year that I've daily driven my BRZ.

Not true..some have reported that the brand of gas makes a difference, and others have reported that adding 1 oz of 2 cycle TC-W3 oil for each 5 gallons of gas will make them go away. (theory being the small amount of oil in the gas lubes the high pressure fuel pump which is the source of the noise). As an added bonus, the TC-W3 oil also quiets down the engine in general. The TC-W3 oil can be found at Walmart: http://www.walmart.com/ip/16795065?reviews_limit=7 Do a search about the oil. But remember people add 1oz/5 gallons of gas. Use at your own risk! |

It's really simple. Gas it up with ethanol free gas.
