Spider Dust on Silver Plastic Dash?

So I was attempting to diagnose a rattle sound that occurs when my car revs to around 6k rpm and took off the silver dash on the passenger's side to reveal these dust stains...

It's the only way to be sure.

Seriously I think this happens when condensation collects dust then as the water evaporates, it leaves those marks.
That is likely a horizontal surface and car experiences extreme ambient temp & humidity changes? (like driving up/down mountains?)

I would be inclined to say it is more likely a static charge in the plastic that attracts the dust into those patterns. The charge radiates out from imperfections causing the "legs". Just seems too small and the pattern is too reoccurring for condensation.

That actually happened to me last year, 2 weeks before senior year started. It was 2am and was about to sleep and found that at least 50 baby spiders had flown through my window next to my bed. I don't normally poundsign but #NoSleepTonight.

I do live less than a mile from the ocean so the air may be salty and there have been nights where it reaches 35F, but rarely.
