Replacing windshield wiper fluid hoses
Does anybody know the procedure for replacing the windshield wiper hoses? I had a rodent chew through mine and I bought the hoses but didnt want to pay 150$ for shop time when it seemed rather simple.
After looking at it im wondering if i need to take the wipers off and remove that whole plastic guard they sit above. Any thoughts? If there is a diy guide already that i missed please link it. Thanks

![]() The hoses should be able to be separated from all of the hard parts. Which section of hose was chewed through? |

If it's the actual nozzle side, then you're going to at least need to lift the cowl, which is held on by a bunch of clips.
![]() You'll have to separate the wiper arms from the wiper motor. If not, you may not be able to lift the cowl to give yourself enough room to pull the old hose and attach the new one. It'll help to have small hands. If your hoses are destroyed on the reservoir side, then you're going to have to pop the bumper off, and there are a few guides on here for how to do that. |

Its closest to the nozzles unfortunately. The front bumper is something i have done before and felt comfortable with the instructions out there. Ive never messed with wipers or hoses before. Thanks for the help and diagrams

Same problem here, although it might be age (my GT86 is 9 years old) rather than a rodent. The issue is located rather at the front of the engine bay, so perhaps an easier job? Can I buy the lower section/hose somewhere seperatly?

your local hardware store, or auto parts store should sell a similar rubber hose. it's nothing special, you just need to match the inner diameter.
