One of the LEDs in my Tom's tail lights went out. :(

One of the LEDs in my Tom's tail lights went out. I was hoping to avoid it as Brandon had the same issue, but it seems it's my turn. Anyone know of anyone that's fixed an LED in the Tom's before?

I don't remember if you guys mentioned taking apart the unit, or if it's welded/sealed.

While I'm 100% confident in fixing the guts, not so much with the best way to get it apart.

I guess that will be my task then to figure out how to unseal it without making it unusable.

If you don't find a better solution, JB Weld will be our friend. There's also an amazing flexible epoxy we might consider.

if i went aftermarket, i'd go TOM's. But! seems like all aftermarket lights have dead led issues.

If they're fused like OEM tails you can use a soldering iron to slowly cut your way through, it's what the people who paint the inside of their tails do. Then close it up with aquarium sealant after.
