is main relay kill switch bad for ecu?

Have simple covered kill switch on battery and crazy rewired and hidden nifty distributor kill switch I'd like to swap for a ecu kill switch. Why? Idk. I have good insurance and no sign of attempt theft. Knock on wood.

So please just help me answer this.

Is a main relay kill switch bad for ecu? An incomplete circuit.

Last i messed with a ecu was on a ae86. Id take ecu with me everywhere when parked until it fried... then just got removable hub and such.

The keys already have chips in them... If the car is stolen, it's because they towed it, not because they hotwired it.

Yes it is bad to remove the power from the ECU.
It resets it and it needs to relearn the engine parameters all over again when you turn it back on again.
If you did that every time you shut off the car, it would hardly have enough time to relearn each time you drove it.

I thought so. Thanks. Guess I'll leave both kill switches as they are.
