H&R Trak+ DRM 25mm Wheel Spacers - 5x100 / 12x1.25 - 5025560 Review
Well I figure I would open a review thread on the H&R Trak spacers since I was unable to locate one.
I started to do research on various brands of spacers and even though I decided on a reputable and expensive brand I would still recommend many different types of hub & wheel centric spacers. Personally I decided on the more expensive H&R brand spacer because I do not plan on upgrading my wheels to allow for a more flush offset. If you do plan on upgrading wheels in the future but would still like a more aggressive offset for your stock wheels before you upgrade, I would recommend the Precision European Motorwerks spacer. They are a solid construction and have many positive reviews as a company from eBay as well as Amazon. As for spacers in general, the internet is a hell of a drug and you will find a horror story review of a wheel falling off at track day due to a spacer fail for every 10 positive reviews saying people have ran spacers on their vehicles for 50k+ miles with no issues. The most important thing about a spacer is to make sure it is installed properly. Make sure you purchase the correct spacer for your vehicle and make sure that your vehicles studs do not over-extend on the spacer. The spacer must lay flush with the wheel. Generally you will run into the issue of the vehicle studs overextending the spacer if you run on 15-20mm spacers. Nine times out of ten you will see that the spacer fail reviews are due to the wheel resting on the spacer studs instead of the actual spacer hub. Regarding the H&R Trak+ DRM 25mm Wheel Spacers I would have to recommend these to anyone looking to stick with their stock wheels for the long term. Included in the box are of course the 2 spacers, lug nuts, German instructions (I am assuming that depending on the retailer you purchase them from this will be different) and a decal that adds horsepower. The spacers are a solid construction and literally plug & play. I had a buddy of mine install them at his shop and they were on the car in less than 10 minutes. Use a torque wrench and make sure not to over torque when applying the spacer to the hub. I have seen others use anti-seize and loctite for added security, however I do believe these are optional and pure torque is all you really need. I personally went with 25mm all the way around the vehicle for a flush look. Others have gone with 20mm front/25mm rear with no problem, it really is just your preference. ![]() FYI These photos were taken on stock height so as you can see there will still be plenty of clearance once/if you decide to go lower on springs/coils. ![]() ![]() To add, if you plan on going with an aggressive offset, whether it be through spacers or larger wheels...be prepared to deal with added road rash on the sides and the rear bumper of the vehicle. Even with adding the OEM mud guards, the wheels still stick out past them. Be mindful if you are ever driving on rough terrain that you will be kicking up a lot of debris onto your vehicle. ![]() All in all I am pleased with them and I feel like it was worth the extra $$$ considering I will be riding on these for the long term. The correct product and proper installation are key in making your purchase and keeping the wheels on the car at track day
