Does any UEL actually outperform the Borla???

Hey all. I have the Borla uel and was thinking about going to a more refined/presicion made header. I want to stick with uel though. I like the rumble. Has anyone viewed actual dyno tests that show an uel that outperforms the borla? Any constructive help is much appreciated.

If I was going to get a new header right now, I'd love ok hard at getting the Ace 4-2-1 assuming I could get a tuning solution for it.

Basically, the catless and catted headers all perform within a few WHP of each other if tested on the same dyno and tuned by the same tuner. So no, it's not worth it to spend hundreds more to pickup a handful more WHP. Keep your Borla and spend your money on something else.

There are headers providing more gains. Are those gains enough to justify upgrade of current aftermarket header? Imho - not, as they cost above average price, and to addition to price you paid for your borla's, gains get a bit at too much $$$ per extra whp-s. I'd consider Aceheader's 4-2-1/PTuning's/JDL/Nameless if it's to replace not-yet-upgraded initial stock though.

Thanks for the input guys. Now let me ask this; do el headers make more power than uel? In theory they should, right??? Has anyone saw dynographs to show that they do?

More peak? Power under the curve?

From what I've gathered from the few useful comparisons, the 4-2-1 headers are bringing just a bit more to the table overall. EL typically had a higher peak HP, but that's just one part of the equation.

If you're not targeting a particular performance goal, it's harder to pick a best solution though.

JDL UEL is better than the Borla and so are several others. Just look for a non fisher price welded collector before you buy a different one. The tuner is important beyond that. If they don't know what they're doing, your Borla is just as good as any other UEL.

Search this forum from Google. You will find several comparisons and dynos.
