My custom ordered BRZ arrives a week early (07/09/15) to Hueberger Motors.


My flight out to Colorado to drive my new car home


Ah, the new car feel and smell


Planning my road trip back home from Colorado


Somewhere around St. Louis I hit the 1000 mile break in point. Hello cruise control!


1,623 grueling miles... I make it into my driveway!

But..

Whats so custom about it that it had to be ordered far away?

Custom to me is that I personally ordered it from the factory the way I wanted it. The reason I flew to Colorado was the awesome deal I got for it. There was no one in my area that would even come close to or try to match the out the door price.

Oh okay, so it was mainly price?

In terms of the car, there wasn't any "custom from the factory" about it?

Sorry, I have an FRS, and from what I at least know of BRZ's is that theres not many ways you can customize it, except for the given different trim levels?

Or am I reading too much into it? and it's mainly just the price?

But anyways, it must of been a fun drive! Back-pains yes, but experience should of been worth it!!

Going on 10 months of ownership and really can't complain about much. Crickets they're either really low in sound or I have tuned them out altogether. The only thing I guess is problematic is the fluctuating engine rpm while in park. Which I guess that its no that big of a deal or I'm just a procrastinating lazy butt that won't take it to the dealer to let them fix it.

Yes, I believe you're reading too much into this. I factory ordered this with a couple additional items from the Subaru option lists. They built it, shipped it to CO. I would've had it shipped to my house on a semi but I like taking road trips and saved bout $900 in the process. This is the second car I have bought in CO and drove back to TN.

The difference between CO dealers vs. TN Dealers for me was 4-6.5k.
