AutoX my FR-S
I autoX my car this weekend. Before I get into what i thought about it give you a little history of my experience. I normally drive a fully prepped 05 WRX for STX. When i go to local events I am place first or second place, it goes back and forth between me and my co driver. When I go to major events I dont come in first but i dont come in DFL.
So here is my review. I put a set of 245 star specs on the car that i had left over from my WRX that were well passed their prime unevenly worn and at the wear bar indicator. The car handled amazing it felt better and more responsive than the prepped WRX transitioned better it was very toss able just kept begging for more. The down fall of this car and what i think might hurt it the most is the gearing 2nd gear is too short i was hitting the rev limiter. Its power band needs to be evened out hopefully a tune on the car or some parts to make it breathe. lastly it needs some more camber up front but when it is stx that will come with the territory. So this event i didnt place or do great but i wasnt trying to place i was pushing the car and trying to learn its limits.
