Forced induction owners in Socal
Looking to boost my car soon.
I wanted to see who was boosted locally and with which kits. Please chime in. Fyi, I'm looking for a resonably priced kit to produce 300-350whp. Suggestions welcomed. Would prefer turbo vs sc. Car is a dd. |

not trying to hijack this thread but anyone wanna help do a turbo install (turbo kit, gauges, oil cooler etc)?
*and FYI i agree....350hp is a lot for a DD. My aim is 300whp MAX. especially with how light the car is. |

I'm boosted on a innovate stage 2 with a 90 torque jump @ 2800 rpm over stock. But I'm sitting at 290ish to the crank on a 69mm pulley stock exhaust with delicious tuning stage 2 tune and e50.

My buddy owns a shop in ontario. Maybe you can contact him to rent some time at his place. He has a lift, which might make things easier. Lmk. I can pm you his info.

I came from a greddy turbo s2k that pushed 290-320; depending on the dyno. So I would like something similar. I'm not sure how this car responds to boost; motor wise. I appreciate your input, I am not well versed on this platform.

Cost wise. The SBD kit looks good. The greddy s2k kit used an 18g Mitsubishi turbo. My previous dsm had a 16g turbo. So I am fimilar with that line of turbos.

Cost wise the SPD kit is getting even better with no price increases. Any kits that are purchased moving forward come with a 3" MAF tube (vs original 2.75", upgraded Actuator 0.7 Bar wastegate spring (original is 0.5). |

I have a couple of friends running AVO turbo kits on their FRS and haven't had any issues with them one is pushing about 300 hp and the other over 400 hp. They can help you out also if you have questions. This is his website, going through a slight remodeling: http://doubleapexmotorsports.com/
