Just joined
Hello!
I have recently just bought a 2013 frs. I am looking to buy a subwoofer, any suggestions on audio upgrades for less than $500? And what are some first things I should do to the car? I only bought a Broadway and rexspeed mirrors. |

Many members told me before I bought the car to enjoy it for at least 6 months to a year before doing any major mods to it. That'll provide enough time to see where you want to go from there.

Soul nailed it. Drive at least 6 months or 10,000 miles and then decide if you even need performance or handling mods. Cosmetics do as you have the cash starting right away (those won't change with time behind the wheel). Finally don't let anybody tell you what you "must do" or what it "needs" figure out what you want and stick to your guns.

Drive it. The car will tell you what mods it needs after you have driven it for a while.
It's easy to get caught up in the mod game. People here will inevitably chime in and tell you to adjust all sorts of things that don't actually need to be adjusted and to spend money on things you don't really need to enjoy the car. You get excited and start making changes that don't really need to be made. Sometimes those changes actually hurt the enjoyment of the car, but you don't even know it because you jumped on them too soon before understanding how the car is without them. If you just wait, at some point you'll either look at the car or be driving it and think, "Man, I wish this car had _____." Then you'll know what to do. For mine, I shop a lot but don't buy. I'll see something talked about on here or listed in the classified section and just file that away as something I might be interested in at some point in the future. Some of those things I forget about. Some keep popping into my mind while I'm driving. It's usually the car telling me we should have it, and I think, "I wish this car had _____." That's when I know to pull the trigger. |

This, actually. The factory sound system isn't great, but it works. Youre very lucky to be able to go to college and have a very very nice car. Be frugal with your spending, I know mine has turned into quite the money pit.
