Raced with a FR-S today

It wasn't very fast at all. You guys better pray the car goes to STX and not STR like I was hearing rumors of.

results-
summary- http://www.skream.net/results/2012/points3_fin.htm
pax- http://www.skream.net/results/2012/points3_pax.htm
raw- http://www.skream.net/results/2012/points3_raw.htm

The FRS had 225/ kooks all the way around on 17x8 inch wide wheels. It was over 4 seconds slower then my S2000...

Video of my car today-

video of my car last weekend at a national tour-
day 1-
day 2-

I can promise the FRS/BRZ wont hold a candle to the S2K in ST form.

Different drivers. It shouldn't be as fast as an s2k anyways. I can only assume you registered to troll?

I joined because I kind of like the car minus the fact it's not very fast at all. What class is it getting thrown in? I think it "could" do good against the RX-8 but STR is way out of it's leauge.

please note- I paxed 1st overall and I run in STR.

You joined to make a thread and try to brag.

Everyone here knows this car will not be fast unless modified.

yeah but the driver of the frs may not be an experienced driver, many of us are jumping into autox for the first time with this car, plus you werent driving it, and even if the person was a good driver, he still needed time to get used to the car

Starts ~$10k less than what the S2K sold for new... so, Im shocked. And in other breaking news STIs, 350s, and mustangs are also faster than this car.

Who cares?

And the frs/brz are likely to be cs or maybe ds but I'd bet on cs. Unlike the as s2000 which you seem surprised is faster.

The owner is on here. Mteater. According to his tire thread he's running 215 rs3s on 17x7 not the 225/17x8 combo listed by the op. He was also ~3.3 seconds slower not "over four".

Great job Josh!!

And I beat a new V6 Mustang that is said to be FASTER around a track, along with a V8 Mustang, STi, and Porsche too...

Here are Raw results:
http://www.axwaresystems.com/axorm/f...20test_raw.htm

Class results PAX time:
http://www.axwaresystems.com/axorm/f...20test_sum.htm

There will always be Faster Cars running Fast, Faster Cars running Slower, Slower Cars Running Faster and so on....

ohh look at that! very cool indeed! but still no matter how experienced you are at driving cars, there still is a time period where you have to get used to a new car, and even beyond that there is a time period where that car is still settling into place, tires, bearings, bushings, shocks, struts, the difference in feel between the day i got the car and now is pretty large, its def better aswell just to note, ive prob also got, or wil have soon the most miles on a FRS/BRZ in the states soon enough

im no where near as comfortable with the FRS as i was with the celica, i could run laps around an auto x track with my celica vs the FRS both in stock form just because i know the platform better, but in actuality, at the limits the FRS is a much better car all around, it will take me a year or so before im that comfortable with the FRS

A year?

How many miles do you drive; this is about learning a machine, not a woman.
