Stance V2 vs PBM LCA
As the title states, I'm in the market for some new rear LCAs. I currently have Megan Racing ones, and while I've been more than happy with them, the one short coming they have is that the rear of my car is maxed out on my FA 500 coils and there's still quite a bit of gap between tire and fender.
Basically, from what I've read is that they're both quality parts, but the Stance cost almost twice as much as the PBM, however, the Stance will give me more drop by 20mm. The PBM ones seem as though it's a good balance between cost and end result, but the fact that the Stance will go lower has me leaning towards them. Does anyone have first hand experience with either or both? I REALLY dig the etching on the Stance V2, but obviously that won't be swaying my choice. Basically it comes down to a few things: 1. PBM is around 400 shipped, whereas Stance V2's are around 750 shipped. 2. PBM is -40mm, Stance are -60mm. 3. Not sure if it's worth it to buy the PBM and take a chance on being unhappy that they didn't lower my rear end enough and have to turn around and try to sell them, buy the Stance V2's just to end up not being able to sell the PBM's Actually, I think I've answered my question of which I should go for after that third point, but I'd still like to hear input from others who have had either of these parts. EDIT: Should have included this when I first posted, I will not be selling my coils to get another set that are designed to go lower. I'd be taking a massive loss by selling my current coilovers, only to get fucked by the USD to CAD conversion. |

It may be worth your time to also consider coilovers that are designed to go that low, such as Stance or BC Extreme Lows.

Not necessarily, depending on what the seller is asking, and how much shipping is, it may still be worth going new since I have to deal with currency conversion anyways.

I just sold my set of PBM LCAs. I was also using PBM coilovers. I had at least another half inch to go on the coilovers and the fender was just about lined up with the lip of my wheel.
Hope this helps. |

Ended up with the PBM's. They have more than enough drop on them, and when I switched from my Megan's to them I had to raise my coils by about 3/4 of an inch (And will probably do more eventually) because my entire rear end scraped when I pulled it out from my garage and onto the driveway. The best part is that I got them in a trade and didn't have to pay a cent for them.
