Exclamation URGENT WARNING to Markham drivers!

Just want to give a warning to all markham drivers,

On 16th Ave between Warden and Kennedy closer to Kennedy in the east bound curb lane there is either a deep pothole or manhole cover that is raised do to construction.

It is impossible to see at night, and is a tire and alignment killer

I ruined an almost new tire has to be replaced and now need an alignment do to the shock

It caused a tire bubble that tore the sidewall.

I will be talking to the city tomorrow as this all could have been avoided with a cone or a 7 dollar can of florescent paint. If anyone else has damage due to it, let me know I intend for them to pay for the repairs seeming as it was easily prevented

Better go back to that spot and take a picture of what caused the damage asap or you'll be shit out of luck.

The City will do nothing. This is a Regional Rd, but I wish you luck.

I since have talked to the city and they refered me to york region's road claim person and forms have been submitted its quite the repair bill 1400 for rim and tire. 900 for a bearing. There is a possibility that the shock tower and strut could be bent.

On this note, if anyone in the group frequents the Western section of Mayfield road, BE CAREFUL.

Between Mississauga Road and Highway 10 (Hurontario), they are doing "asphalt restoration" and have these huge sections of the road cut out, with 90-degree edges on them.

I was humming along the other night, zoned out with loud music on, and didn't notice the sign until it was too late, and BARRELLED through one of them at around 80km/h. It was so goddamn loud I was sure I had busted something. I pulled over and checked, but all seems fine a week later.

Use caution driving through this area and slow down! Especially if your car is lowered or you have non-OEM tires/rims. I'm on stock wheels and suspension and was still crawling through them in 1st gear.

Damn, it's $900 for a bearing? Glad I replaced my own....

16th is now a nightmare to drive on - beyond those damned potholes, you also have clueless drivers all over the place.
