Replace LED on Colins?
Does anyone know how to replace the LEDs on the Colins tail lights? These things are hard to see in the day and I've gotten a few complaints. Has anyone tried to replace the original LEDs with brighter LEDs?

LED's are simple, but still not that simple. What we perceive as brightness (in this case) is simply light per unit area. All you can really do is get LED's with a narrower viewing angle to increase the intensity of light per unit area. This would apply most to the standard 3mm-12mm LED's. The other option is the "high power" class of LED's. Those are a function of power. You can't just change the LED without changing the driver or specific parts in the driver's circuit. I have no clue what the Colin tails have so that's all I can say.
