Adjusting the bass

Quick noob question for you guys. I have a 2015 Brz limited.

I know that you can adjust the eq frequency settings, but is there a another way to turn the bass down?

As an example, my last car also had an adjustable eq but it also had the ability to adjust bass and treble on the whole.

I'm asking this because I enjoy crusing with the windows down, but when I crank the volume, even with the low frequencies turned all the way down, I sometimes still have enough bass coming through to cause mild distortion.

I would like to be able to turn the bass all the way down, and then turn the volume way up and thus avoid the speaker distortion that would occur if the bass was still turned up. And then dial in a bit of bass to fit my preference.

Is this possible?

Thanks

I was looking for the same thing, for the same reason. There isn't anything like a bass knob, but you can override the five EQ presets with whatever you want by setting the EQ then pressing and holding on a preset. I configured one of them with the bass turned way down that I use with the windows down, and another that I use otherwise.

Hope that helps!

Since I installed a sub I wanted to keep bass frequencies out of my door speakers, so I turned the 100 Hz slider down several notches and turned up the gain on my amp until I was happy with the bass level. Not the approved method of setting amp gain, but it works well enough for my purposes.
