Project idea feedback
Hey guys,
I've had my BRZ for a while and frequently read the forums, but just didn't register until now. I wasn't sure where to post this, so I just decided to start with my specific region. I created a simple web app kind of as a hobby project to mess with some new web frameworks and packages, and was just wondering how much interest there was for it and feedback. It's just simple site to list your car build, and you get a QR code for your car. The idea, for now anyway, is to print the QR code on a card or decal and put it somewhere on your car. So, when people are curious about what some mod is on your car, on the street or at a local meet, then they can just scan your QR code and see a list of your modifications. You can also just use it to list all your mods and link to it on forums and websites too. If people are interested, I would probably have to get a domain for it and initially just put it on a free Heroku developer account or something, so if not too many people use it frequently enough then it'll go to sleep and take a while to load the site sometimes, or if too many people use it then it might be slow. ------ So, I decided to get a domain and deploy it, and just see what happens. I agree that allowing more than one car model would be better, but mostly due to limited resources with it being on a free developer account, I think it'll just start with FR-S/BRZ for now, and maybe allow other car models later on.

Sounds good. Refine it on this platform and expand from there.

Of course, you could just create a QR code to take you to any web address with a build log on any site.

Well, I did say in my first post that it was a simple site and idea... Yes, you could generate the QR code yourself to any web address, but just trying to make things easier and simple.

![]() Key would to make the QR code recognizable as being for a build log, like some logo or branding. |

Ah, I see what you mean now. I've updated the QR codes to be a little more recognizable by including the site address now, thanks for the suggestion.
