New here, looking to decide on coilovers.

Hey guys, im looking to decide on some budget coilovers. The ones im looking at rn are the BC coilovers, Tein Street Basis, ST, or Megan EZ. My goal is just having decent coils for DD. Not really looking into tracking or anything just want a good drop. Thanks

1. Search.
2. What is "good drop?"
3. BC would go the lowest.
4. Say no to megan.
5. best for comfort would be tein or st imo, better than the other two at least.

ST, RCE T0, Bilsteins, or wait a few months for the Town Flex Z.

You tend to get what you pay for in suspension. These are the standouts.

Any reason you want coils and not just springs? RCE or Swifts will ride better than most cheap coilovers and get you at least 1" drop that is pretty clean imo

At first i wanted to go with springs(prokit or swift) and save up for coils later but that would just be a waste of time and money. So i wanted some decent coilovers to get rid of the wheel gap for now and possibly go lower later in the future. Not really looking to slam my car or track it.

go for the st's...

Since you're in OC, let me know if you want to meet up and see how the ST coils ride (I work in Orange County)

Seems like you're looking for budget coilovers with decent ride quality for DD.

Keep scrolling or go the next couple of pages in this section.

I would give Tein's new offering a serious consideration too given your goals and budget:

yeah most likely leaning towards the ST coils. A friend of mine can get me BC coils for 900 but do i really need the dampening adjustment and camber plate on the BC or should i just be fine with the ST. The front wheels on my car pokes out too much for my liking on stock height.

ST would be good since you're in Cali and don't have to worry about salts and chemicals.
Don't get Megan.. or something like Racelands.. I only read horror stories about them other than them being so cheap.

You get what you pay for, is what I read and hear over and over when it comes to spring/coilover system upgrades.

Our stock suspension is already pretty solid, so getting something like megan or.. other things that are cheap will actually set you back in ride quality and all.

I'm considering the Tein Flex Z as well, both ST and Flex Z will hope up well in winter conditions (salt).
