AMT , Vancouver Parts development

So my buddy is lending me his car for a few days so i can start fabbing up some parts . i will take pics of progress. once the pieces are made i can then make jigs to do some production style parts.

stay tuned for updates, Adam

www.amtmachineshop.com

Updates. so i fabbed up the rear sway bar stiffening brackets, i also got the jig made so now i can do a run of these parts.

dont mind the orientation of the photos.
here is the factory setup

as you can see there is alot of flex present in how this is designed.

here is my AMT rear sway bar stiffener bracket (sbsb) for short

no more flex now. this will come with all hardware and will be powdercoated for durability.

also have DOT braided brake lines getting made up. i will have my first sample for test fitment on friday.

Then today i also fitted sti calipers and rotors. the rotors need to be redrilled for the FRS 5x 100 bolt pattern other than that the rotors and calipers bolt right on. But the wheels do not clear the face of the rotor so a wheel spacer is needed aprox 15mm thick. for this i am using ARP lexus IS 300 wheel studs as they fit perfectly except they are 12 x 1.5 thread but you will need new open ended nuts anyways. i still need to clean them up.

Another service i can do is rotor slotting. for you track day and autocrossers.

UPDATE #2

brake master cylinder brace is done and ready. this device firms up your brake peddle by eliminating the flex in the firwall.

Nice seen some of your work and it looked pretty good.

looking forward to seeing what you have in store

also be nice to support a local shop instead of buying all my gear from the states

I don't mind letting you fit some parts on the BRZ when I get mine! Just let me know if you need it!

+1 for Adam, he's been a member of DK, the old toyota crew, for years and his workmanship is top notch. I'm running a few of his parts on my AE as well as some stuff he fab'd for me!

Looking good Adam ! I can vouch for the quality of his work. Adam has made many of the products that I used to run on my old AE86.
