[Resolved] Spyder Headlights DRLs not turing on

I installed Spyder headlights on my BRZ. During the install, I switched the headlights on to tested the passenger side headlight. The projector and turn signal were fine, and the LED strip lights up with the projector as expected. At this point, I only had the passenger side headlight, and the driver side headlight was disconnected.

However, when I later connected the driver side headlight, I noticed that the DRLs no longer turned on, and the LED strips in the Spyder headlights no longer turned on either.

To figure out if this was an issue with the Spyder headlights, I put the bulbs back in my stock headlights and plugged them in, but the DRLs were still not turning on.

Does anyone know what might be causing the DRLs to not turn on anymore? Could this be a blown fuse?

Update: So sleep-deprived me forgot that the DRLs do not come on until the parking brakes are released. However, while the stock DRLs light up now, the DRLs in the Spyder headlights still do not.

Do I need to splice into the DRL line in order to get the Spyder DRLs to light up? I figure this may be the case since installing Spyder headlights on the FR-S requires splicing into the turn signal line since the FR-S stock headlights have the DRL but no signal built in while the BRZ stock headlights have the turn signal built in but no the DRL.

It turns out that the parking light wire from the wiring harness is plugged into the wrong wire on the headlight. This is described in more detail at this thread.

To get the LED strip from the headlight to light up with the DRLs will require tapping into the DRL circuit. I am planning to install the Diode Dynamics Always-On Module for this.

Thanks to wrohdejr for describing the fix.
