LOC off of factory amp

I am going to be installing an amp and sub in to my Subaru BRZ. I want to keep the factory head unit and factory amp (for now) and was looking at using PAC SNI LOC. I have seen Some posts about making new harnesses to replace the factory Amp but could I just splice in to the Factory amp wires to connect this LOC? If any one has done this before a knowing exactly what wires to tap in to would help a lot. Thank you very much.

I will be running an alpine MRV-M500 mono amp
Alpine type R 10

bro refer to my sig - how to search using google (if you're on Tapatalk & can't see my sig, then follow this procedure: go to google.com and type in whatever you want, followed by 'site:ft86club.com')

If you are referring to this thread, then that is your answer. Splice into 3, 9, 4, and 10 to your LOC.

Thanks for keeping thread clutter down. Appreciate it

Thank you. I did find what I needed on that thread. I followed the Utube video. It was not the pins you listed there. If anyone needs it I can post what color wires I spliced in to and what they got to. Save some one else the pain of digging through so many threads. My set up sounds great and with the gain on min it hits harder than I really wanted. I will play around with settings to get it more to my liking.

umm.. it is the pins I listed there. Confirmed by myself and others.

Green = Left speaker signal input from HU [PIN 3 and 9]
Purple = Right Speaker signal in from HU [PIN 4 and 10]

Don't tell me you routed your LOC to the amplified outs?

P.S. "Save some one else the pain of digging through so many threads. " < this is precisely why we suggest researching before posting a unique thread. Like yours, it just adds to the clutter.

I did research but I found conflicting information after spending hours digging through threads from years ago. Some of these threads start off about one topic and change in to others. Some people are not as technically savvy such as knowing a pin lay out and a color scheme would be easier for them. I spend hours reading through all this stuff but before I go splicing in to wires I'd like to know 100% what I am doing. I used the the first 4 wires on the left. I believe the light green was left positive. Not sure how the pins go left to right up or down. The remote wire was the dark green which wasn't listed. I followed the YouTube video and it works perfectly.

Buy the Metra 70-1761 and 71-1761 harnesses. One harness connects to the amp, the other connects to the factory wiring harness plug. Now you end up with 9 wires on each plug that need to be connected to each other and you tap into the amp input leads to feed your LOC (green\purple). The other plug is just for power, which you can use as a power source for your LOC--the speaker plug has the amp turn on lead. I highly highly recommend bass blockers on the inputs to the stock amp once you add a sub. I left the stock amp disconnected for a year due the door speakers sounding like crap and rattling my doors. I found bass blockers in an old electronics toolbox and decided to try them. The doors no longer rattle and the speakers aren't going to waste.

Here's a shitty pic of mine that I just took. This is the factory plugs going into the Metra plugs:

Thank you for now I used T-Splices I think I will go ahead and put bass blockers on the door speakers until I replace them with better ones and run an second amp to power them. I will probably use the same alpine amp that has been used by many others.
