A Good Place to Adjust Headlight Cutoff in PDX?
Hello,
I have been putting off properly adjusting my headlight cut off for too long now after I got an HID kit - does anyone know of a good place with level ground, and a wall with minimal light in the area that I could do this at? My driveway is a big slope, so I don't have the ~25ft of flat, level ground that I need. I checked out the parking garage at Clackamas mall, but I feel like there is too much light there to do it as accurately as I would like. Would also prefer that it is a relatively safe place - not down some alley, or what have you. Has anyone done this before that is local to the area, and if so where did you take care of this at? Does it matter if I do it in the garage at the mall, or an area where there is going to be some other light? I'd like to get this done, so I don't have to keep thinking about it as I noticed my light output while driving isn't very good/doesn't illuminate the street directly in front of me as well as I feel it should. Thank you! |

It's fine if there is some extra light. It just needs to be dark enough to see the cut off. I don't think the parking garage is bright enough to wash it out.

Let me check my "drift" spot and see how level it is. If i remember correctly its pretty flat and has nice bay doors to shine the light on but might be more slanted than I think cause all i do is shred tires there

Probably anywhere along NE Airport Way would work. A lot of large flat parking lots that are empty at night.
