HaDDeS's BRZ HKS 2.1L Stroker + Supercharger V2 [Update]

Hi there ! Seems you guys in the states are getting your cars faster than us in Japan so it pushes me reading again and again all your posts everyday to keep me waiting.

I live in Japan, in Sendai and I fell in absolute love with the BRZ / FT86 the first time i could see it at the big press presentation. Discovering Toyoda san arriving in the midle of a horde of growling and hurling LFA's at Fujispeedway was just ... biblical in a way.

I had the chance to test it and it just confirmed everything .. i needed one, then came the question, wich one. Subaru ? Toyota ? Well it boats a boxer engine so, from that point itself it made more sense to me to buy the Subaru, but in my mind it is and will always stay a "toyobaru" and i'll never thank both of them enough for bringing us the chance to discover again the joys of a reall driver focused car.

There we are, i'm no waiting for my S type BRZ , wich should be here by ... august if they don't screw up at Gunma plant.

The S model in Japan has auto AC , torsen , 17" alloys, a nice stero (different from the on u get in the states) but i didn't go for the full GPS one, don't really care. I kept the fabric bucket as they please me very much , it'll have HID , daylight running , foglights , full under aero pannels,
It's pretty close to your Premium version.

But as soon as it'll be here, it will have couple modifs already. Here after is a preview photoshop i did, the first one is a "light" version for what i'm going for. So 18 x 8 wheels and 225/40 Direzza ZII rubbers , sparkling silver color codded miror caps. In a second time i might go a litle bit more bonkers with side vents from Toyota range with an Sti logo , possibly front bonet stripe passing through the roof between the two bulges. Thinking of the red accent on the side too, but will see. I know this might not please everyone, but I just love it this way ! it makes it special.

As soon as it arrives i'll depart for a road trip in Japan to Hakone, and the best roads !! and excpect lots of pics, can't wait !

Very cool! It's ironic that you guys in Japan have to wait longer than the rest of the world

Ironic indeed ! but it makes sense form a commercial point of view ... At the moment they have delivered more FT86 and BRZ in Japan, but it'll come waiting is the best moment right ? (wish i didn't say that)

Whoohoooo It is here finaly , I can't really discribe how I feel, it is a mixture of being a kid again, and many other feelings. I'll just post pictures for the moment, and will give you a more detailed feedback later. So far it is absolutely stock, excpetion of the rims and tires. I equiped it with Rays Homura in 18 *8 ET36 and Michelin Supersport 225 / 40 - 18 rubbers. And it absolutely transcend its behavior !!

Sorry in advance, seems there is no auto resize or thumbnail option, so picture might be a litle bit big, if it really is an issue i'll make smaller version.

Holy cow, what are you using for those pics? VERY NICE! I'm interested to know what kind of lighting you used for the night shots next to the buildings.

Congrats on the new car.

Thanks djdnz, for the photos I use a Nikon D3S then pos processing in Nikon NX2, Dxo and finaly photoshop for grading. The lighting were done in real lights conditions, no additions , no flash ... just used the natural ambiance of the place, shooted in RAW and played with it afterwards to get the result I wanted initialy.

Nope side mirrors aren't white, but sparkling silver colour coded, they did it a the subaru dealer , as I requested. Its not an option, just a personnal thing I always do with my cars. Here I wanted silver to macth the center console, and wheels, and compliment the lighter accents in the headlights. I think it turned out quite well

See you all soon, for more advantures and picture !! :happy0180:

In case people aren't aware Haddes is from Sendai which was hit really hit hard by the Tsunami last year. My company has a client who lives in Sendai who is a huge auto enthusiast. His uncle is the Lamborghini distributor for Japan. One of our reps did an awesome group drive with a bunch of other Lambos in JP last year. We make heavy duty steel sheds which are marketed by Yuta (our distributor there) in trade shows and it seems quite popular.
We were shocked when the tsunami hit and relieved our contacts there were safe.
Life goes on...enjoy my friend. You get JDM Products at no extra charge!

Thanks Wbradley, i really do appreciate your coment, and indeed i'm living in Sendai where the earthquake and tsunami happened ( so much coast cities and villages were actually ravaged by the disaster not only Sendai), and yes we went through hell last year. I didn't really want to talk about it, didn't feel like you know ... spreading my life. But anyway life goes on, and what a best way to enjoy life than to support Japanese economy and this wonderfull piece of passion the BRZ is !

Glad to know your contacts were safe after the earthquake and tsunami. !

cheers.
