nope, at the cost at about $250 you don't get much, for ~500 you could get open flash tablet and have rev limiter, flat foot shifting, launch control, data logging, etc...

True.. I only want it because I've previously used it on a drift car and setting the rev limiter to what I want really helped, didn't think about OFT.

I am pretty sure s2d4 was being sarcastic. For the price of an OFT you are way better off going that route. The bump in power and the full control over the engine including rev limits are worth the money. That said be careful setting a higher rev limit for the FA20, there have been valve train failure from over reving already on the forums.

It's Funny is that I actually wasn't. Someone definitely installed VTEC controller... Cant find the bee*r bit though. Still insane nevertheless.

He would actually be using it as launch control since that is generally what the bee*r unit is used for.

I was trying to figure out whether he was sarcastic or not for over two minutes believe it or not but I went with "he's not being sarcastic..." and I was correct

I guess I am just too into the old ways of tuning cars and was never curious to look for new solutions in terms of launch control and so on, loved the backfire the bee*r gave on rev limiters too while drifting so yeah I guess I'll just have to go with OFT if I'm gonna get a lot of more features and benefits for a little difference in price not to mention 100% guarantee that it's gonna work unlike the bee*r which I have searched endlessly to find an instruction manual for the twins and haven't found anything.

Along with RomRaider defs, you can tune the car to do ANYTHING with the OFT bins. As before mentioned, flat foot shifting, throttle blipping, turning off engine diagnostic codes (very important for those w/ catless and those who disable cold start ignition timing retardation).

Currently I have cold start turned off via ignition timing post start zeroed out, MAF corrections altered to normal operating temp, re-scaled MAF to work with OFH UEL headers and G/S Intake.. and this is all using Romraider and VGI's java tuning tool.

"Cold" starts in the mornings with my catless headerback exhaust and single exit FT86SFV2 are sooo nice now. No horrible 1.7k rasping due to retarded timing while the car tries to warm the (absent) cats up.

Truly the shit..
