UPDATE: They sent me free gasket material, even though Matt said my current gasket was fine and didn't need to be replaced. Wow. Just floored.. what a great company.
Very impressed at the consistent quality and attention to the customer this company exhibits. I've been using GrimmSpeed products (Electronic Boost Controller, phenolics) on my WRX for years with no hiccups. When I purchased the car Oct of last year, saw they had a growing presence in the twins arena as well. My first interaction with their sales staff: Bought their intake via group buy, and even with the buy "officially" over, two days after Matt allowed me to still pitch in and save some scrilla. He offered this to many people on the thread and all in all left a great impression. Fast forward to last week, I emailed about losing a few hex bolts and washers, and wanted a new gasket (as I messed mine up a little on install). Got a reply back within hours from Art saying it's a phone order only but would be happy to accomodate. I didn't reply and put it off since I was battling a nasty flu and ordering parts thru the phone was the last thing I wanted to do. Well they follow up 4-5 days later and ask if I still want them. Was just getting better and followed up with them today to buy the bolts and whatnot. Matt advised me that my gasket probably wasn't as bad as I thought (I cut it in two after thinking they gave me too much, when it really was cut exactly to size) and shyed me away from spending needless cash. Also bought some hood struts because good lord, the quality.. -- The TL;DR is quite a few botique/gearhead companies can learn a lot about how to treat customers and fellow enthusiasts the way G/S does. They do it in plain sight on their threads, through private correspondance, and it's obvious they're with you every step of the way. Couldn't give higher praise. Thanks @GrimmSpeed team ![]() P.S. Matt, stoked on the exhaust system coming up in the pipeline. Can't wait Last edited by Koa; 03-10-2015 at 01:39 AM. |
