Low coolant?

Well after taking the car out to lime creek in Austin, Tx, I got home and let the car sit. I then went to check my oil and coolant and saw that my coolant was below the low marker. Does anyone know what could have caused this and has this happened to anyone else's car?

It's totalled. Luckily I am in a good mood and I am willing to take it off your hands!

All jokes aside, if the car has been sitting and it has cooled down, the coolant would have been sucked back into the radiator via vacuum. What you are looking at is just the overflow reservoir.

Nothing to lose sleep over but I'd keep an eye on it.

Having a similar issue. but it's like my Brz loves to drink coolant because it seems to get lower and lower each time I check. Asked my local dealer about it, well they didn't have an answer as well. But were quick to offer me more coolant at a discount.

Kinda worried for the Arizona Summer heat. Also no leaks.

There's already a huge thread about this.

Mine went away when I changed my radiator and hoses, so it leads me to believe some of the systems aren't sealed properly with the stock hoses.

If you need coolant, just buy it from a subaru dealer. I just paid about $25 for a gallon at the subie dealer. Its cheaper than toyota, or online since you have to pay shipping and wait!
same goes for oil filters
