First Drive TODAY - Brilliant!!!

My dealer (Lander Toyota, Blacktown) had a GT manual today and I was able to take it for a test drive. I've gotta say, it's everything I expected. It feels so solid on the road and the seats are amazing. The clutch is very light (I mean very light), much lighter than my MX-5 SE. The gearbox is very precise but a little notchy. It has a very nice feel to it.

I couldn't really test the power around the local streets but off the line it feels quite perky.

The other thing that amazed me was the number of Subaru badges under the bonnet - I think I counted 6.

Now I just need to wait another couple of weeks for my one to arrive.

The clutch is super light. The gear shift changes are so close together, I freaked out.

I didn't get to drive it, but started it up with a few lows revs. Sounds sweet. Goosebumps galore. Ahhh

Back seat is tiny! but who cares.

Only saw White, red and orange. They all look awesome. You will be more than happy. I ordered the dark grey and was told by a few people that it looks the best.!!!

Wish I didn't get to see it, now it's going to make the wait hurt even more !!!!

I know what you mean about the back seat. I'm 6ft tall, and with my seat in my driver position, there was <5cm of leg space in the back. But hey, its more than the MX5!

The red looks so much better in person. The pics don't do it justice. White and orange look great too. Saw them at sunset. So, can't wait to see them in direct sunlight.

Love the seats. They just hug u. feels so much like my celica. Very happy about that.

Legroom in the back I'm a bit disappointed with, but your right at least it's not a 2 seater. If it was a 2 seater I could not buy it. So I'm happy. My celica has more room in the back and it's the same size car. But due to the boxer being so far back, meant the backseat would loose space. Would have rather lost more space in the boot.

I'm still kinda freaking about the clutch. Super soft, but didn't get to drive it, so will have to wait and see. Short throw shift feels sweet as. Very happy, not like my truck style shifting in the celica. (I've cut the stick twice and it still has massive throw) lol
