Any rumours from Nissan?

Just curious if Nissan may take up the challenge of the FT/R-86/S... Mainly because I was curious about that new alien-looking Juke and noticed its motor. Would be pretty damn nice in a new, inexpensive S15...

1.6L turbo, direct injection gasoline
188 bhp @ 5600 rpm
177 lb-ft (min) @ 2000 to 5200 rpm.

That defiantly would make for a nice start to a lightweight car.

I do believe that Nissan has said they were working on a light RWD car but thought that no one would buy it so it would not make financial sense.

Damn. That little motor belongs in something more deserving than that ugly-ass (I mean cool and funky, like a Scion!) Juke.

I think they are just afraid that it'll mess with 370Z sales. Honestly, it'd be kind of hard to position, making it much smaller than the Z for much cheaper.

Y'all do realize that nissans mind set was to make the 350's and 370's like the new age 240's I mean in the sence that people buy them up and modify, and have a great aftermarket following, but to me they are a Lil overpriced for that, well at least brand new

I agree, but if you look at the way vehicle's are going, they are getting bigger and bigger, and the z's arnt that big compared to most, and a decent 350z is now in the teens as far as pricing, so I don't think it's to far fetched

the fairlady realy insn't that big. Fat maybe, big, no. In fact, the Z33 and Z34 are a scant 5 inches longer than the S30.

Precisely, which is why the FT ought to come in well under 30k.
