Reveiw Diode Dynamics

First off I have dealt with some other led copanys before, and was always unhappy. Which made me a little skeptical when first looking for LED lights for my new car. I heard of Diode Dynamics on these forums and it seemed like a popular choice. So I decided to order a dome light, trunk light, license plate light, reverse light, front and rear turn signal, side marker, and fog lights from them.

I'm very glad I chose to go with them, I couldn't be happier. Shipping has been fast. Refunds and exchanges were quick and simple. Mike was great to deal with through emails. Very fast and clear communication, which seems to be a lost art with most companies these days. He even provided me with some installation help which was awesome. They have a great reward point system to give back to the customers.

Every light was very bright, with a nice color, not cheap looking. All were very easy to install as well. This is a great company I would gladly give my business to again. Below are my reviews of each product I purchased. If you have any questions feel free to email me.

-Dome Light

I ordered the SMD 12 board in cool white for this application. It was a great choice. It was simple to install >5 min install. Super bright and nice color for a little board. With my Clear lens its like day time in side the car. When its on at nigt you can clearly see inside, even through tinted windows.



-Trunk Light

I purchased the flex light in cool white. I was a little confused when I received it not quite realizing what I ordered. Once I climbed into the trunk to install it I saw how simple it was minus actually climbing into the trunk and deciding where to mount it. The kit came with two different adapters and both velcro and double sided tape for mounting and plenty of wire so you could mount it almost anywhere. Light is really bright and doesn't run ridiculously hot like the stock bulb.



-License Plate Light

For this application I ordered the HP3s in cool white. They look really nice and give the car a much more modern look at night. Much better then the stock yellow. Much brighter too.



-Reverse Light

I purchased the HP 50 model because I was tired of not being able to see at all when backing up, especially with tinted windows. These were easy to install and incredibly bright. I have used other led reverse lights from different manufacturers and these are by far the best I have seen or used. I have no problem seeing behind me anymore, car should have came with these stock.



-Turn Signal, Front and Rear

I ordered the XP80s for both applications, amber for the front and red for the rear. When ordering them I was reluctant, thinking there wouldn't be much of a difference over stock. I was wrong. Both colors were very bright and the colors are really nice. I can see both front and rear turn signals over my head and tail lights and night. The red rears look great with my painted red tails.

I also ordered the flasher relay to prevent the hyper blink. I chose this over the resistors to prevent cutting or splicing wires. Mike was a big help with locating the stock flasher relay. Only problem I had was I couldn't get the stock one off, so I just left the stock one there and zip tied the new one down. Pictures taken at dusk.





-Sidemarker

I ordered HP3s in amber for the side markers. I got the non switch back model, so they stay on and do not blink for the turn signal. If I had to do it over I would have purchased the switch backs. Either way I'm very happy. As usual the color was nice and it was much brighter then stock. Removing the corners is a bit tricky, so be careful.



-Fog Lights

I ordered the H11 XP80s in yellow. These were a great addition to my vehicle. The are super bright, as bright if not brighter then the silver star headlight bulbs I have. The color is nice and fills the housing very well. I drove to Las Vegas through heavy fog and these did not create any glare at all.

diode dynamics has been very good to me. Literally the term "you pay for what you get." Pretty pricey for hids imo but well worth it. Plus they've sent me broken/wrong products but was very quick on my returns. Btw, what lockout is that on your shifter??
