Upgrading Car Audio with only $800

Hey Guys,

Really want to upgrade the sound in my BRZ. Where will I get the most bang for my buck with only $800?

New head unit and speakers? Subwoofer later?

Nice sub and amp and the rest later?

New head unit by itself ?

what resources are there to start researching car audio? How do you start learning from the beginning?

Thanks

Crutchfield
This guide is a great start http://www.crutchfield.com/S-AMu7dwt...io-set-up.html

You can do stage 1 and 2 out the gate on your budget. Remember brz has smaller speaker brackets in the back, and many choose to lose the backs anyways..

I think the cafi is more personal investment than other options but has some of the greatest potential for coolness. Other options will certainly be 'easier' however. Not owning one I cannot comment more than that as its my impression of the unit.
Edit : I'd recommend keeping your stock hu BTW. Never know if you will need it because your new one messes up, or you try to sell the car.

You can also keep the stock HU and just get an LC2, amp, and front components.
