Wheels sizes

Okay guys. In a few weeks or a month ill be getting new wheels. The size im ordering will be 17x9 +35. Will be on stock suspension (for the first month or so) then will get Eibach pro line kit that drops about an inch (7/8th all around from user reports) plus front and rear sway bars. i want to wrap them in the best tire out there. Lookin. To get the best grip for street use and maybe occasional autoX. Given that in TN the weather is a bit cold and raining right now i dont really know which route to go. I want 245/40 or if possible 255/40. Love the look of wide tires. Was thinking of going with pilot super sports. Anyone else have any input for tires? Looked at some nitto nt01 but not sure if i can do that with the weather we get here.

Thanks!

Continental Extreme Contact DW's are great for wet traction. Dry traction is decent, and they have way more tread than any tire in that class. It's a great daily driving tire, but I can't speak for Auto X. They are also a lot better priced than the PSS.

Very nice! I was hoping that my post would help people with choosing as well as give them perspective relative to drop, etc.

It took me a while to finally pull the trigger on wheels too - good luck!

I have the brisgestone potenzas pole positions s04. great grip and feel and excellent rain traction. When i was shopping around it was between these and the pilot super sports. I decided on the former because they had specials on it. My next set will be the super sports to try them out.
