Induction kit actually worth doing?

I'm going to be getting a stage 3 turbo installed soon, and I was wondering if it is going to actually be beneficial to get an induction kit installed at the same time. I've always assumed they were kind of pointless and only really good for slightly changing the sound of the car, but perhaps with the extra power from the turbo it would actually be worth doing?

Something like this: http://www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Mode...ategory_1/4255

Any thoughts or experiences appreciated

Cheers
Chris

So the turbo kit you are considering does not include/does nothing to address the additional airflow needs?

Pass on that one.

The turbo kit is literally just the turbo, piping, and an intercooler.

I'm sure if it was absolutely required for the turbo to work then it would include it, but what I'm asking is would it be a good idea and actually do anything? For some reason I have a bad view of induction kits and think they're kind of pointless, but that is not really based on any factual evidence... so I'm asking if that is actually the case or if they do actually help.

Oh and I didn't post it in the FI forum because although personally I'm only considering it because of the turbo, it is more of a general question about whether or not an induction kit actually improves air flow or if in reality all it does is change the intake sound.

intake doesn't matter much, I'd skip it.

With that in mind... You ARE going to get it tuned, right?

If you're going with the Fensport kit (which is the AVO kit), they're only listing the core components. You need more than what they're listing, that 'more' depends entirely on what you want to gain. Suffice it to say in terms of cost & installation it's more than just the core kit. You have to really want FI before going down this road.

TLDR: Talk to Fensport directly, bring money.

If it is the AVO kit he does not need a induction solution because it is designed to use the factory air box.

Plus if it is stage 3 it comes with full exhaust, BOV, upgraded wastegate and more.
