Question Should i delete cat?

Hey guys, first post.

so I'm planning a header back system. I've got some ideas on what I'm going to do, but the problem is I need to have at least one cat. I'm in South Carolina now, but will be seperating from the military in about a year and will be going back home to Maine. For inspections there, they inspect cats. No emissions test.

My question is, should I just get a header with a cat? or is it worth the gains to just do some part swaps come inspection time?

I'd just get a catless header and swap it. It's not that much work. But there are a few catted headers. The new catted JDL UEL headers look great. Or the ft86sf header. Or if you wanna go cheaper the top1 pro or whatever they're called is okay too.

I thought of that after I posted. I'd only have to put the header back up to not get a CEL right?

If you just want sound then just do he catback or even axle back.

If you want power increase go to a catless header plus tune should get you about 20 wheel hp without a tune you will be lucky to get half that and you will get cel code although you can try those 02 spacers on the second 02 sensor to fool the ecu works 90% of the time.

catless headers will also make it sound better and a bit louder .even with rest of exhaust stock.
