Bulletproof Automotive: Tokyo Auto Salon 2015!!

**TOKYO AUTO SALON 2015!!**

It's that time of year again folks! We here at Bulletproof Automotive are at Tokyo Auto Salon 2015.

TAS (Tokyo Auto Salon) is one of the largest and most prestigious aftermarket automotive event held in Tokyo. All of the top tuners close up shop to attend. Companies like Top Secret, Varis, Amuse, RE Amemiya, JUN, Studie AG, Liberty Walk, Nismo, and more.

Every year we here at Bulletproof Automotive grab a team of people and make our trek out to Japan to attend this awesome event. We also take time to meet with some of our close friend's and vendors that we deal with on a daily basis.

Our trip usually consists of meetings, TAS, and more meetings. Don't forget the incredible food too! Sushi just isn't the same anymore once you've had it fresh from Japan.

Below we have a collection of some of the most awesome cars and builds we saw at TAS and we're happy to share this content with you. So relax and enjoy the show.

We'll also have more in-depth coverage of some of our more favorite and interesting builds we saw at the show as well so stay tuned.

Below we have some photos of some of the general builds we saw during roll in at TAS 2015. You'll get to see some of the behind the scenes footage of the cars rolling in and being setup for the show.

This year there seemed to be a lot more Japanese tuners focusing on the Euro Car platforms. Check out some of these cars we saw at TAS this year.

The biggest news this year has to be the release of the new Varis wide body kit for the BMW Z4. This has to be one of the best kits and best builds to come out Japan this year. This is definitely be one of our most favorites builds at TAS hands down. We'll have a more in-depth look at this car in later posts.

Varis was busy this year with their Euro platforms. Here is their release of the new VRS lip kit for the BMW M4 line. Subtle, clean, and aerodynamic... just the way we like it.

Here you might remember this car from a recent clip brought to you by Maiham Media. This was the same Studie AG BMW Z4 car shot in the Motor HEAD Hill Climb video at the Hakone Turnpike in Japan. One of our all time favorite Z4's track cars out there.

We couldn't take about Japanese tuned Euro cars without taking a look at some RWB Porsche's. The annual RWB meet is held in Rappongi, a small sub sect in Tokyo, the day before Tokyo Auto Salon. Luckily the dates didn't overlap so some of them could make it over and attend the show.

Rowen, formally known as Tommy Kaira, brought out a very nice Aventador and gorgeous 458.

For many of you guys that are on our Facebook page, you had to have seen our post of this video showing this CRAZY extreme hot pink Lambo with the crazy LED lights. If not, no worries, we have photos for you right here. Japan has some of the most insane designs to come out of the auto industry. Good or bad, it's definitely creative.

Crazy aero parts tuner Ab Flug was there showing off their new kit for the Mercedes line up. Check out this crazy Ab Flug wide body kit and tell us what you think. Understanding and knowing Ab Flug as a company and their history of creating crazy designed aero kits, we kind of like this one.

Along with the Lambo and Ferrari, this track prepped 370Z was also sporting a full Rowen body kit. Along with a slew of Trust/Greddy parts, this Z was definitely a head turner. We noticed the car during roll in so we had to snap a few shots real quick.

In a surprising turn of events, long time aero parts manufacturer Weber Sports brought out their newly designed Z34 aero kit. If some of you guys remember the older Z33 body kit, the new kit holds some minor resemblance to the old kit but we seem to like this one a little better.

Finally, we were happy to see C-West bringing out their lip kit for the 370Z. The simple and clean design gives a subtle type of aggressiveness to the existing body lines of the Z34.

The FT86 (FRS) model are still very much prevalent in the JDM tuning industry. Here are some of the cool and crazy 86 builds that were there at TAS 2015.

Although this 86 isn't "new" the Blitz Racing chrome wide body 86 was there just in time for roll in. This is truly a beast and we can't wait to see how this car performs at the track.

Here are some of the other 86's we saw roaming around the roll in gates.

Who can forget the Evo's? Here are a couple we saw during setup. We'll be sure to post up more Evo content as the event goes on.

We have literally hundreds of photos to share with you guys so make sure to stay tuned and check back as we bring you more photos from this year's 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon!!

I'm glad you're posting these pics but, gotta agree with tahdizzle, those are some massively overwrought and ridiculous body kits. This stuff makes Mansory look conservative. There are Gundams with fewer wings and vents.

Some people like going over the top. Just like some people like a ton more spice in their food compared to others. Not my taste either, but I commend them for having the confidence to rock kits like those. It's what keeps the scene from becoming a giant bowl of bland vanilla ice cream. If you can't tell I'm really hungry right now.

**Happy Tuesday Everybody!!**

Tuesday has to be one of the worst days of the week. It's a day after Monday but it's so far from the weekend it seems like it'll never come.

Well fortunately for you guys, we have some more 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon photos to fill this boring day with some awesome JDM photos.

Thank you to all of you guys subscribing and commenting on this thread. We love the support.

We understand some of these builds are pretty crazy and sometimes unpractical but that's what we love about it. It's about being crazy, pushing the envelop, and seeing just how far a tuner can take things. It's creativity to the max.

Some cars are strictly show cars and some are functional track cars. Either way, it's all for the love and passion that we all have for the JDM industry.

So sit back and enjoy

I'm sure many of you have already seen this and are in the know, but for those of you who haven't seen these yet, check this out. Ray's is releasing a brand new color for a few of their wheel lines. Namely the Volk ZE40 and the Volk TE37 Ultra wheels. The new color is Diamond Dark Gunmetal and it's GORGEOUS to say the least. You'll see a lot of cars at TAS 2015 with these new wheels on them. Be on the look out for these new wheels for 2015.

Speaking of wheels, how'd you like to have a wall like this in your house?

Remember the Varis/VRS BMW M4 we showed you? Well check out the hood they made for the M4... It's a BEAST! We love it.

We saw our fair share of the new Lexus RC and RC-F at TAS this year. Varis had their rendition of the RC-F and so did a bunch of others. We'll be sure to post up more in the coming days but for now, check these out.

Check out this crazy wide body Lexus LF-A! Definitely suited and prepped for the track. Hopefully we'll see more of this car in 2015.

Along with some of the other Euro cars, we saw a ton of Ferrari's out there at TAS this year as well. This Enzo was down right gorgeous!!

One of our most favorite cars is this classic Ferrari F40. We saw this one being brought in during roll in.

GTR's were a huge part of TAS 2015 and it was no surprise that the big name top tuners in Japan would show off some of their new parts for the R35 platform.

Top Secret brought out their new 2015 edition front bumper for the R35 GTR. With its HUGE opening in the font air dam, this bumper is sure to grab tons of attention in the GTR community.

The Top Secret wide front fenders for the R35 GTR compliment the new front bumper extremely well.

The Top Secret rear under skirt and diffuser just tie things up to compete the look of the kit.

Of course who could forget about their infamous Gold R35? This thing was an instant classic.

If some of you guys remember the GTR event at Nardo, Top Secret brought out their super aggressive circuit/time attack R35 GTR. This thing is a track monster. Another Top Secret classic.

Say Hi Smokey!! :hello:

There was a whole slew of various GTR's from different companies. It was a tuner guys dream! These GTR's had very long lists of amazing parts from some of the top manufacturers in Japan and the build quality was unparalleled!

Thanks for staying with us as we share our experience from Tokyo Auto Salon 2015. We'll bring you more photos in the coming weeks!

For now we'll just leave you guys with a parting photo!

We'll look through our pile of photos to see if one of our team members caught one of the new MX-5. We should have one at least. Once we find it, we'll post it up! Thanks!

**Thursday Bump!!**

Hey guys, I know it's been a little while but we're back with some additional Tokyo Auto Salon photos!

We want to share with you guys a very special car. Do Luck has been a long time high-end JDM parts manufacturer that's made some of the nicest aero parts in the industry for various JDM platforms, and we've been fortunate enough to have partnered with them for the past decade.

Many of you Evo guys have Do Luck parts on your cars right now. The Do Luck duckbill aero trunk being one of the more popular items for Evo guys.

This year, Do Luck came out with a full wide body kit for the R35 GTR platform that really stood out to us at TAS 2015 so we wanted to share some photos of the kit with you guys. This may not be Evo content, but we're sure any car guy/gear head can appreciate some cool cars regardless of what type of car it is.

Check it out and enjoy!!

This new Do Luck R35 wide body kit exemplifies a more futuristic style while also keeping some of the older classic GTR linear profiles.

Here is a 3/4 frontal view of the Do Luck GTR.

Here's a nice close-up side profile of the Do Luck kit. You can really see the details of the side skirts and front wide fenders in this shot.

The Do Luck front wide fenders are extremely aggressive. Do Luck pulled styling ques from the Nismo R34 Z-Tune front fenders by creating the top fender line and added vent at top of the fender. You can see the amount of detail Do Luck has spent on developing this kit. From the carbon fins inside of the the enormous side air vents to the small carbon GTR emblem on the side of the fender. These are top quality parts for one of the best JDM super cars to ever be made.

Speaking attention to detail, check out the extra little trunk panel that's made in carbon. They added this for extra air flow and added aesthetic qualities. Just incredible!!

Moving towards the back of the car, you can see the massive rear wide quarter panels and the super low mount GT wing Do Luck is famous for. The rear fender crease was actually inspired by the fender line of the R34 GTR's rear blister fender.

Do Luck went as far as to develop a brand new exhaust tip design to fit their kit. Influenced by the Nismo R35 GTR, Do Luck created an oval shaped tip engraved with the Do Luck logo to compliment the rear bumper.

Do Luck and Work Wheels Japan collaborated in developing a new wheel specifically or the Do Luck brand. Fully forged and lightweight, these wheels are awesome! Expect a high price tag though as these are very limited and special edition wheels.

All in all, we're very happy with the new looks of the Do Luck GTR wide body kit. We feel fortunate to be able to partner with such a high-quality JDM parts manufacturer with such a great reputation as in the industry as Do Luck has.

We'll be sharing more photos in the coming days so check back with us as we share more of our journey.
