Mobil 1 full synthetic for e85?

Hi, everyone
I have my maintenance plan with Toyota/scion and I asked them what oil they use for the FRS. They told me Mobil 1 0w-20. If I plan to get the oft and run e85, would the oil be compatible? I heard some say its safe but just change oil at earlier intervals.

I ran 5w40 mobil one in my boosted frs with e85 and after my engine blew I emptied the oil cooler and a milky light brown oil came out in almost a mud like consistency. Not 100% sure it was the oil that caused it but I wouldn't doubt it. Going to send the oil in to black stone laboratories.

Not a big fan of Mobil 1 in subie engines. Only data I have is that any of our customers for the past 12+ years who have ran it has seen significant consumption issues that are directly attributed to it. Basically they ran M1 when they couldn't get anything else, went back to Amsoil or Motul and the consumption went away.

If you are getting the oil changes for free, then use the M1 but keep an eye on the dipstick and change it every 3K miles or less.

I would personally step up to Motul 8100 series or Amsoil Signature or European.
