turbo kits

The FRS BRZ platforms have not been around long enough to do long term testing, so this question may be moot, but here goes. Any thought as to what a quality Turbo kits like a Ptuning Stage 1 would be like in terms of long term reliability of the engine?

This is assuming I would be driving this as a daily driver, occasionally driving fast , but not pounding it and no racing...

soooo much discussion on this already.. why clutter with one more thread asking the same thing?

We're dealing with a high compression, high revving NA engine. FI of any type is going to increase wear and chance of catastrophic failure. Certain Ptuning, FBM, and other entry level turnkey turbo kits that are designed to run on the stock fuel system, tuned to less than 300TQ/300+HP are generally considered 'safe enough' to warrant extended use, no other variables considered.

Not trying to be a **** but when people search for answers, threads like this (general, non-specific, 'square one' all things goes threads) hinder the hunt for useful information

thanks for the input, no offense taken. The search engine on the forum is not great, and I've not had much success finding what I was looking for

1. go to google.

2 type the following in the search box after your question/what your searching for.

site: Ft86club.com/forums/

3. search.

For example, you might type this in the google search box.

fr-s turbo reliability site:ft86club.com/forums

The result will be: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q...b.com%2Fforums

Optionally we have a whole section (here)dedicated to forced induction with mega-oodles of information.

The fact that you actually have to go outside the forum to search usually makes the "search first" point moot...Although I do agree with you in this case...
