Winter Wash, Canada's Style.
Hey, so today is the first day of winter... However its been cold for a while.. Usually around 10 F. It does get colder here in Canada and my outside water faucet is already frozen. I was wondering what do you guys do for winter wash? I don't have a coin operated wash. I don't like automatic car washes.. (High acidic soap)
I don't know much about plumber, but should I get a faucet installed in my garage. I think that would cost a lot. I do have one in my garage, but it never worked. I checked all the valve near my heat pump and all. Everything's good. Anyone has an idea so I can use my water in my garage? I don't want to use ONR. I don't want to just load a bucket with water and wash it. I rather rinse it first.

ONR can be perfectly safe and recommend by many detailers. Just follow the proper steps. Remember to wax to add some protection for the winter.

I have a gas power washer with a 10ft hose in the basement. Pipes normally don't freeze so I'm able to bring it outside and go to town .. blow the water out of the hose when done and throw everything back inside.
As far as washing, I fill up my bucket in the kitchen sink with nice hot water so my hands don't freeze. Throw some soap in there and blast it with the p/w for a sec to get it mixed. I can usually take everything out, wash, dry, and clean up in about a half hour. |

ONR is amazing, give it a try. I use the Gary Dean wash method year round in my garage. I don't have access to a hose, so I use plain water at the coin op to rinse the car and blast the wheel wells before washing with ONR.

I fill 4 (5 gal) buckets with hot water. The first is rinse, the next two I use to wash via the two bucket method, and the forth is another rinse. Works well for me.

touchless car washes that have underbody cleaning as well.
The above methods are good if you just want to keep the body clean but if you want to get all the salt off the bottom of your car to keep it from rusting too bad than this is what I recommend.
