SoCal people with headers and exhausts installed
Just wondering how many of you guys get pulled over while having headers and exhausts, and what was the reason why they pulled you over? Thinking about getting headers, but concerned about the noise it'll make with my TRD exhausts and the cops here in the 323 are ****s so just wanna get some input before I put my money into some headers. Thanks

My exhaust is about as loud as it gets. Cops don't look twice at me. As long as you don't give them a reason to pull you over I wouldn't think you would have any trouble.

I've been pulled over once for my loud exhaust but got let go after he talked to me.(I have Greddy evo 3) They just used it as an excuse to check on me. (Also found out my friend wasn't wearing here seat belt that day. -__-)

I been pulled over, but no ticket. I am running dc the whole way back with supercharger. I drive pretty conservative. Having a modified car gives a cop a reason to pull you over, so if you do anything you shouldn't be doing while operating a motor vehicle, i would avoid driving it modified.

Every time I see a cop I either drop into neutral or get my transmission into the highest gear I can and drive like a granny hahaha.

MXP headers, overpipe, front pipe, catback.
Amazing at WOT, quiet when cruising. No noise complaints, aside from the usual 5am cold start my neighbors have grown to hate.

I've had my headers for a few months now, and I haven't had any problems, and yes I've been pulled over for speeding but they didn't mention anything about the mods.
Tomei UEL -> Tomei Overpipe -> Stock Front Pipe -> Injen SES Exhaust

How loud is that setup? I have the same Tomei parts but also the front pipe with a Perrin exhaust. Was hoping to quiet the exhaust a bit by going back to the stock front pipe.

Also from the 323 and no issues but my exhaust is pretty quiet(borla catback) however my friend has a pretty loud g35(not sure what his setup is) and he hasn't been pulled over either.

JDL UEL, JDL overpipe, JDL catted front pipe, Perrin resonated 2.5" CBE. A bit loud on cold starts but cruising and normal driving is perfect. WOT is amazing as well. Just throw it into neutral when you pass a cop lol
