Break-in Period and Octane level

Hi everyone,

2 quick questions. How many miles should the car hit before you take it over 4000rpm (break-in period)? Also does anyone know what octane it burns fuel at? I'm trying to figure out if it takes 89 Octane (premium) ot 91 (supreme)

Thanks!

Is that really what the FRS manual says? BRZ is 1000mi and 93 octane, 91 if 93 is unavailable. Figured itd be the same, since ya know they're the same car.

Googled and downloaded the BR-Z manual in pdf format. Same engine so specs are the same.

As far as octane, it runs on 93 but there is an asterisk that states the car will run with no reliability or durability issues at min 91 if nothing higher is available, so I wouln't go below 91 unless your stuck somewhere and have no choice but to fill up with a lower octane fuel.

There's only a few places in SoCal that have it. I used to be able to get it most places in Maryland, but there's not many places that'll carry it in LA. I think I did a search one day and there were like 2 in the area one of them was downtown.

I think the only place that carries less than 93 here is wawas... And 25 miles sounds like long enough to break it in, just go easy on the clutch and brakes for a little.

Everywhere I've ever gotten gas in Kentucky has always had 93, at least that's what I remember seeing.
