StreetZeal Diffuser
GROUP BUY: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79074
Hey guys, We are not new to the car scene by any means but just recently have started to produce parts for the FRS/BRZ. We still are tweeking molds/designs but i want to get your guys input on our current StreetZeal diffuser. In our opinion there are not many good options currently on the market and a diffuser can really complete the look of the tail section while improving the aerodynamics. Pictures below and feel free to add constructive criticism as we are always looking to improve our designs. picture update: GROUP BUY: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79074 Last edited by streetzeal; 12-29-2014 at 02:40 PM. |

I kinda like it. I would reduce the gap in between the diffuser and the exhaust , angled it just like the center parts ,then add fins at the end of it ....just my0.02 tho.

nice. looks like the diffusers for the s2k and Z's. i was gonna get one from an s2k and cut it up, but it was way too much work for me to make it worth it, so i just got a driveway labs one. this one looks like it's more cosmetic than functional though based on the length of the undertray portion.

nice, finally someone who gets design that flows with the car......not just some flat plate.
Only comment I have is the mounting on the fenders, hide those brackets and its a winner

I'd put four "small" fins under it. I think it'll look and function better.

I appreciate the insight, We have some fins in the making right now and have tested a few designs. We might also have a few different options of fins.

I'm interested I like it needs a couple fins and I'd possibly be down. And depending on price of said finned version

We have not done any wind tunnel testing and chances are we probably wont, so the facts will all remain theory based but anytime you can redirect air from being caught in the rear bumper you are reducing drag. The stock muffler on the car did an ok job of this but with most people on here running a/m systems it allows alot more resistance in the rear of the car. it will be awhile before we find any downforce numbers as right now we are still working on production details. |

on the corner where it meets the black side of the bumper.. you can maybe make it flow better.. if you can make it the same "surface" as the black part of the bumper, then that will be golden..

Any chance you can post a picture from directly under the lift?
I'll second the mounting bracket comment and the fins as well. |
