subaru scheduled maintenance

I'm getting emails saying my service is overdue. Can I tell them that I am doing the services myself, or that I'm having another shop do the services for me?

I don't want to take my car to the dealership.

Thanks for any help.

I think that as long as you keep receipts to prove the date and record everything done and the mileage you'll be fine as far as warranty stuff goes. I had a '13 Crosstrek and did a few oil changes myself but had the 15k, 30k and 60k services done at the dealer and it turned out to be worth it because they gave me way more on the trade than I thought the car was worth.

It's just mailers so I could imagine just having them remove you from their mailing list (if possible). I still get them for the car that I sold to get the FRS, from like 3 different dealers where I bought parts. Telling me its time for my 90k service when the car had over 150k on the clock. lol

On Subaru's website there is a MySubaru portion. Sign up, enter your VIN#, add in all the service you do. I have not gotten a single service reminder that I can remember. It could be your dealer trying to get business also.

I do my own maintenance and my dealer sends me E-mails, letters via the postal service, and calls my home asking me to come in! I keep all my records and also do the Subaru online thing mentioned above
