Did you buy that Asphalt? Mine's the Whiteout that came in... and my experience until now has been anything but pleasant there.

Cheers!

Yup I bought the MT asphalt there.

I think the whiteout was called for when I got the call if I was actually interested in the car beginning of May.

but im guessing your FRS was finally was delivered?

You too eh? I was told the 20th, then 22nd, "anytime now" the week after, then 28th - 29th. On the 30th I was told it was on a truck and on it's way "ENROUTE", on the 31st I was told it's going to be on a truck. On the 1st, nobody knew where the car went. On the 2nd, I was told that it's in front of the line waiting to delivered...

I stopped listening to their 'ETAs' until it finally showed up, and without a stereo. This for their first FR-S customer no less! I'll get that too eventually I suppose. I'm just not planning to ask them when!

Cheers!

well cant expect much for a car that hasnt been released yet you know? I'm sure the dealer didnt even know when they would be coming.. For my preliminary paperwork the scion system didnt even have the FRS listed...

Wait so no stereo at all for your FRS? I think all the cars dont come with a stereo preinstalled... cus mine was also blank but since i had to come after work they installed it in the afternoon and it was all ready to go when I got there.. I optioned for the bespoke unit but they let me have the stock one as a loaner till that arrives... sorry! haha =P

i'm assuming you work at that drift office shop? I just moved to WA from CA a few months ago, love to come check out the shop some time... maybe have a mini FRS meet LOL.. man.. reminds me of the good ol days when i first picked up my S14 setting up and going to meets.. haha

Well, the story went like this ~ up till the time my BRZ came in, I was torn between which brand and color. But because I'm more of a Toyota guy, I opted for the FR-S. Before I closed the deal though, I asked them about confirming the delivery date. Having heard that it was going to be the 1st of June (back during the rumor mill days), they told me they're getting theirs in sooner since they're the top Scion dealer in the state. I should have left then, but I figured I'd give them the shot since the peeps there were working with me since Dec / Jan / Feb when I first went in.

When the 1st 86 program came out, the NW rep out of Portland said 1st June, and I called Doxon to verify. They came back to me and said "I don't know who you talked to but we just talked to our rep and he still says the 18th." Truth be told, after I got in touch with Scion corporate, they were curious about this too since from the get go, it was always June 1st they said.

All the cars come with a radio as standard equipment, on delivery. This would be the first I've heard of it but I've got plenty of double dins around - I'll make something work in the next day or two...

But really, after all that, I'm glad it's here now, and the General Sales Manager (David Streeter) answered all my questions and took care of the deal personally, and the new car manager (Leroy) are both attending to my would-be-coming radio (probably after you return the one in your car!) and I'm a much happier camper now.

All things considered, I suppose deliveries would be easier now and there should be less of an issue to get one in the following months...

I see you found the link to the mini-meet. And yes, I own and run Drift-Office.

Cheers!

ahh what a story! haha

Ya Leroy was the one that got the asphalt MT for me, i think he swaped the raven one with another dealer so really glad that I got the color I wanted.

Im sure all this hassle it was worth it... I was a bit on the edge on purchasing a new car right now but i have no regrets.

Did see that mini meet you posted.. Cant make it unfortunately. I'll prob swing by one of these days to introduce myself. I live in Fed Way so pretty close.
