Good tuiners on Oahu?
Anyone know of any tuners who have done FI or any kind of other tuning on our cars before?

Its not too hard to do the swap yourself, depending on the turbo/supercharger kit its pretty much a bolt on affair. I have personally seen and helped install a Full blown Turbo Kit onto a FRS. http://fullblownmotorsports.com/full...base-turbo-kit The Full blown kit seemed to be a tight fit, needed some small cutting for room in certain areas. If you have a basic tool set, handy with fixing cars, then this is something you should be able to do with minimal difficulty. Make sure to get with the turbo kit, cooling upgrades such as a bigger radiator and such. The most important thing is getting your FRS/BRZ *TUNED* after installing the kit. I recommend getting an ECU first or purchase it at the same time you purchase the turbo kit. Personally I have seen and experienced the importance of a car that is tuned with a standalone ECU thats boosted vs one thats not. You don't want to spend all that money on a turbo/supercharger kit and blow the motor. sorry for the long answer hopefully it helps Last edited by Kid90; 03-04-2015 at 06:43 AM. |

Thanks for the replies, but I was mainly asking if anyone knew an on island tuner that you could take your car to to get a tune done after you install a kit. I wasn't asking for places to install FI kits. Just trying to gather some info to see if an e-tune really is the only option if I wanted to go FI on island.

Getting in contact with him is the tricky part, you can usually catch him on the weekends. Shop is near Monk's Autobody shop http://autorepairmenow.com/hiroshi_p...S100450132.php the address is in the link, you will know which shop Munkywurks is when you get there, form the types of cars out front or the noise of the cars on the dyno
