Turn signal lights

Swapped my front turn signals over to switchback leds and changed to a led specific flasher as well.

Never noticed if it did this as stock, but now when my headlights are on and my turn signals are on as white they will turn off if I hit the brakes. Did the stock bulbs do this? How can I stop this from happening?

Switchback 7440 are for front only. Rear is non switchback just in case thats the issue.

I can say with certainty that the stock front blinkers don't turn off when hitting the brakes.

This sounds super odd.
Where'd you get the switchbacks and have you tested it with your stock bulbs?

I got the switchbacks from amazon, they're the JDM ASTAR ones.

I have not tested with my stock bulbs yet, I've been at work all day. I'll switch things back to stock tomorrow and see what happens. I wanted to put the question out there to see if anyone had any similar issues.

I haven't seen anything similar on the forum.

I'd say try that if you still have the same issues check wiring coming off the bulb and ground on battery, also check fuses. None of these should cause this issue but you never know. If the issue still persist and there's no wiring/fuse damage take the car into your dealer to see what's going on.

If the issue stops when you switch bulbs pickup a new set. 👍

Good luck.

Just an update, I swapped back to my factory bulbs and the problem was corrected. I've contacted the manufacturer about a new set of led bulbs. Still not sure what would cause that particular malfunction.

The front turn signal LEDs should never stop working when the brakes are engaged. It may be an issue with the LEDs. Our customers are running our A-tech Switchback LEDs for front turn signals and they have been very happy with them

Hopefully your new set of LEDs will resolve the issue you have experienced.

I can vouch. I just recently received my switchbacks from HID Powerhouse and I'm very satisfied with how they look and function.

It's voltage leakage caused by the LEDs you installed. If you install a different LED bulb you won't have that issue
